Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake Strikes Northern Japan

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake shook the coast of Aomori Prefecture, northern Japan, on Wednesday.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the earthquake’s epicenter was located off the coast of Aomori Prefecture at a depth of 10 km. This information was reported by Kyodo News.

Thankfully, no tsunami warnings were issued following the quake.
