Maktoum bin Mohammed Approves Judicial Inspection Authority’s 2024-2026 Plan

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council, has approved the Dubai Judicial Inspection Authority’s strategic plan for 2024-2026.

The plan focuses on achieving top institutional standards, ensuring global quality, and balancing judicial independence with transparent accountability. It also emphasizes monitoring the performance of Dubai’s judicial members to uphold the rule of law effectively.

During a meeting with the Dubai Judicial Council, His Highness reviewed the Authority’s initiatives under the strategic plan. The plan is structured around four main objectives, 11 secondary goals, and 27 performance indicators to track progress and results.

It supports the vision of achieving “world-leading judicial inspection” and enhancing the governance and performance of the Judicial Authority. The plan is guided by key values: transparency, integrity, cooperation, and innovation.

Delivering Prompt Justice

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum emphasized that the strategic plan aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The goal is to position Dubai as a global leader in providing fast, efficient, and fair judicial services while supporting the emirate’s competitiveness and readiness for the future.

“The Dubai Judicial Inspection Authority’s plan showcases our dedication to upgrading the judicial system to meet international standards, ensuring justice is delivered swiftly and lawfully,” His Highness said.

He added that the initiatives align with Dubai’s broader vision of achieving comprehensive development and strengthening its global position. The plan focuses on improving judicial inspection quality, increasing system transparency, and enhancing service delivery. His Highness also commended the efforts of the Judicial Inspection Authority’s teams for their hard work in preparing the strategic plan.

Key Objectives of the Strategic Plan

His Excellency Counsellor Mohammed Mubarak Al Sabousi, Chief of the Judicial Inspection Authority, explained that the strategic plan reflects Dubai Government’s broader goals for governance and performance improvement. It includes four primary objectives:

  1. Improving judicial inspection efficiency
  2. Adopting digital transformation and AI technologies
  3. Innovating in institutional performance
  4. Developing applicable legislation

These objectives aim to ensure quality inspection standards, streamline complaint processes, and digitize operations for greater agility. The plan also includes 11 secondary goals and 27 performance indicators to measure success.

Counsellor Al Sabousi noted that the Judicial Inspection Authority plays a critical role in researching and updating legislation to align with modern needs. The strategy also supports institutional improvements, enhancing the judicial system’s readiness to meet future challenges.
