City Football Schools’ Talented Player Programme (TPP) continues to shine as a pathway for young footballers, with six players recently moving to Abu Dhabi’s Al Jazira Football Club. This milestone highlights TPP’s success in preparing aspiring players for professional football careers.
This week, three TPP Under-16 players, Elias, Feli, and Tafara, transitioned from CFS’s sky-blue kit to Al Jazira’s black and white colors. Now part of one of the UAE’s top clubs, they’ll train in a professional environment, play regular matches against other professional teams, and work towards their ultimate dream: playing first-team football.
The trio joins fellow TPP graduates Itqan, Zein, and Kais (Elias’s brother) at Al Jazira, also known as “The Pride of Abu Dhabi.”
Supported by e& since 2022, the Talented Player Programme provides a platform for boys and girls to hone their skills through advanced City coaching techniques, intense local and international match schedules, and opportunities to train at City Football Group clubs worldwide.
Feli, a four-year programme participant from Abu Dhabi, shared his gratitude:
“TPP helped me become the best version of myself, adapt to challenges, and experience incredible coaching. I’m so proud to move from TPP to Al Jazira Academy.”
Elias, from Dubai, reflected on his journey:
“TPP prepared me mentally and physically, improving every aspect of my game. Joining Al Jazira is a big step, and I hope to achieve great things as I continue my football career.”
Simon Hewitt, Head of Football Operations for City Football Schools in the Middle East, emphasized the programme’s success:
“Our players signing with professional clubs proves the effectiveness of the City Football Schools pathway. TPP is helping children grow both on and off the pitch, preparing them for elite environments like Al Jazira.”
The Talented Player Programme is setting the standard for youth football development in the UAE, turning dreams into reality for aspiring players.
