Marvel Studios debuted the first trailer of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, giving a new spin to the classic superhero ensemble. The movie is placed in a retro-futuristic world of the 1960s and launches an already-known Fantastic Four, skipping over the conventional origin story. The trailer showcases the dynamic relationships of the team members, with Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) being pregnant, marking the arrival of Franklin Richards, an important character in Marvel mythology.
The action picks up with Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer’s arrival, foretelling the coming danger of Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson. The movie combines loving family scenes with cosmic-scale conflict, playing up the theme of unity against adversity.
