As the UAE celebrates Eid Al Etihad, McDonald’s UAE is taking a moment to reflect on how it has contributed to the personal and professional success of its employees. In a newly released film, the fast-food chain highlights the inspiring journeys of seven employees who have advanced within the company, showcasing stories that embody resilience, hard work, and dedication. McDonald’s UAE has consistently supported the UAE’s vision for progress by providing its team members with opportunities for growth, empowerment, and career advancement that align with the country’s broader objectives.

One notable story is that of Wissam Maarouf, who relocated to the UAE from Syria in 1995. With aspirations to support his family back home, Maarouf started his journey as a trainee at McDonald’s UAE. Over the span of thirty years, his dedication and tireless work ethic propelled him to the position of Vice President of McDonald’s UAE. Maarouf’s journey exemplifies how McDonald’s has served as a catalyst for personal development, equipping him with the resources and platform to excel both professionally and personally. Today, he has not only established a successful career but also a loving family in the UAE.

McDonald’s growth in the UAE reflects Maarouf’s achievements. Starting with a single restaurant in Al Ghurair Centre, Dubai, in 1994, McDonald’s UAE has now expanded to over 200 locations across the seven emirates. With a workforce of more than 4,000 employees, the company has become a vital part of the UAE’s food and service industry, serving hundreds of thousands of customers each day. McDonald’s UAE has always prioritized providing its employees with opportunities to advance, from entry-level positions to top leadership roles.

This Eid Al Etihad, McDonald’s UAE is not only celebrating the holiday but also recognizing the accomplishments of its workforce, whose success stories play a significant role in the ongoing development of the UAE. These personal growth journeys highlight the company’s commitment to supporting the nation’s vision of progress and empowering its employees to thrive.
