A routine IndiGo flight turned into a scene of urgency when a passenger suddenly collapsed mid-air, prompting a call for medical assistance from the cabin crew. Fortunately, an Indian Army doctor, who was returning from leave, was on board and immediately stepped in to help.

Swift Medical Response:
The doctor responded without hesitation, attending to the unwell passenger in-flight. According to reports, the patient showed signs of sudden dizziness and loss of consciousness, which raised alarm among crew and passengers. The army doctor examined vital signs, stabilized the individual, and monitored their condition until the aircraft landed safely.

What Followed:

Airport officials had been informed beforehand by the cabin staff.

Upon landing, medical support was set up on the ground.

The traveller was securely taken to a local hospital for additional assessment.

Public Reaction:

Travellers have commended the army doctor’s bravery, which may have saved a life, as well as the professionalism of the IndiGo crew. This event serves as a reminder of the value of qualified medical professionals in routine settings and how, even at 35,000 feet, their presence may save lives.
