The much-awaited Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant will be held on May 2, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. The pageant is in its sixth year and first under the direction of Chavit Singson and Ariella Arida. With the title “Love Above All,” this pageant promises to be a celebration of beauty, brains, and love.

A total of 66 contestants from different localities, including newbie and comeback areas, shall compete for the sought-after title. Standout debuts are from representatives of Basey, Butuan, Dipolog, and Iligan, while places such as Angeles, Cebu City, and Ilocos Sur return to the competition. The new titleholder shall replace Chelsea Anne Manalo of Bulacan and compete at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand on November 21, 2025.

Top Favorites to Watch:

Yllana Aduana (Siniloan, Laguna): A pageant veteran, Aduana has titles like Miss Philippines Earth 2023 and Miss FIT Philippines 2021 under her belt. She is an advocate of environmental education and women’s health, and with experience and poise on her side, she will surely be a strong favorite for the crown.

Winwyn Marquez (Muntinlupa): A veteran beauty queen, Marquez became the first Filipina to be crowned Reina Hispanoamericana in 2017. Her comeback to the local pageant circuit is one with rich experience and a powerful stage presence.

Ahtisa Manalo (Quezon): Already a former Binibining Pilipinas International 2018 titleholder, Manalo comes into the competition with international pageant exposure and a good winning record.

Chelsea Fernandez (Sultan Kudarat): Titles such as Miss Philippines Earth 2022 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022, Fernandez is one to watch because of her poise and activism.

Katrina Llegado (Taguig): A previous Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019, Llegado’s exposure on the international scene as well as advocacy in education put her in an interesting position as a contender.

The pageant will be hosted by Xian Lim, Gabbi Garcia, Erika Kristensen-Lee, and Tim Yap, while being performed by James Reid and Marlo Mortel. The live stream will be available on the Empire Philippines YouTube channel, while GMA Network will have a delayed telecast on May 4, 2025, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.

With the grand finale on its doorstep, pageant watchers impatiently wait to discover who will be the next Miss Universe Philippines and go on to represent the country at the international arena.
