His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, launched AED2 billion Dubai Police strategic projects to boost security, enhance police training, and improve staff wellbeing with family-friendly housing.
During a visit to the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf, Sheikh Mohammed, joined by Sheikh Maktoum, Sheikh Ahmed, and Sheikh Mansoor, praised Dubai Police for their dedication to making Dubai one of the world’s safest cities through cutting-edge technology and professional excellence.
Sheikh Mohammed reviewed several projects, including the Dubai Police Academy’s new 155-hectare facility in Al Ruwayyah, set to accommodate 2,500 cadets with classrooms, a theatre, sports zones, and residential quarters. Another project, a new training center in Hatta, will open next year with modern sports and shooting facilities, catering to 180 students.
Among the latest projects, “Area 56” will serve as a center for crime prevention and data analysis, using AI and predictive tools to enhance safety. The AED300 million project aims to strengthen Dubai’s digital crime-fighting capabilities.
Other highlights include a housing project in Umm Al Daman, expected by 2026, offering 246 apartments, green areas, a sports complex, and shopping facilities. Sheikh Mohammed also reviewed plans for the Forensic Medicine Building and an expanded Bur Dubai Police Station with advanced security sections.
Lastly, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the innovative Floating Smart Police Station, a 24/7 offshore station located at The World Islands, providing services to boat and water sports enthusiasts without any human interaction. This world-first floating police station reflects Dubai’s commitment to technological advancement and seamless service.
