Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially split up after a Mumbai family court granted them a mutual consent divorce. The duo, who were married in December 2020, had filed for a mutual consent separation, and their lawyer confirmed that the marriage has now been legally dissolved.
The news comes after months of rumors about the relationship between the couple, with both Chahal and Verma remaining tight-mouthed on social media about their lives. The court ruling puts an end to their court proceedings, with the two said to have reached an understanding.
Chahal, Indian cricket’s star leg-spinner, and Verma, well-known YouTuber and dance influencer, were in the public eye frequently, sharing glimpses of their time spent together before news of their split came out. Both will now presumably shift their attention back to their respective careers, with Chahal gearing up for upcoming cricket tournaments and Verma getting back to her work in dance and content.
Their attorney added that the separation has been courteous and respectful and that both are keen on going ahead in a positive manner.
