New Abu Dhabi Centre Opens Food Packaging Jobs for People of Determination

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has launched a new food packaging center aimed at providing meaningful employment for individuals of determination. Located in Al Bahia, the facility offers permanent jobs and supports professional growth for its employees.

Focus on Food Packaging and Distribution

In partnership with Fresh on Table, the center will handle the collection, packaging, storage, and distribution of various food products. These include fruits, vegetables, dairy, poultry, fish, honey, and other animal products.

Empowering Through Collaboration

Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. He explained that the partnership with Fresh on Table helps market ZHO’s organic food products while enhancing job opportunities and skill development for people of determination.

The packaging center will also run specialized training programs to build employees’ professional abilities, preparing them for broader roles in the workforce.

Supporting Inclusion and Sustainability

Al Humaidan underscored ZHO’s dedication to increasing private sector partnerships, urging businesses across various industries to hire and support people of determination. He also commended Fresh on Table’s role in advancing local farming and sustainability, which contributes to the UAE’s goals of achieving food security and reducing carbon emissions.

Fresh on Table’s Commitment

Atul Chopra, Founder and CEO of Fresh on Table, expressed pride in the partnership, describing it as a reflection of their commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. He said:

“This partnership showcases our dedication to creating meaningful change for People of Determination in our Emirati community. Through our platform, we aim to support local agriculture and help HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés) partners make environmentally conscious decisions.”

Fresh on Table, an agtech platform, focuses on connecting local farms with businesses in the HORECA sector. By ensuring that food production and consumption remain local, the platform reduces carbon footprints, supports food security, and promotes sustainable practices.
