The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has announced a 4-day holiday for the National Day celebrations starting on Saturday. Regular operations will resume on Wednesday, December 4, while emergency services at Dubai International Airport, Terminal 3, will continue to operate 24/7.

UAE Visa Amnesty Deadline Approaches

The GDRFA has also reminded individuals with pending visa violations to resolve their status before the amnesty period ends on December 31, 2023.

In related news, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security recently extended the UAE visa amnesty program for two additional months. Initially set to end on October 31, the program now gives residents until December 31 to take advantage of this opportunity.

The amnesty, launched on September 1, has already helped thousands of residents resolve their visa issues. Authorities have also waived millions in fines for overstayers, encouraging more individuals to regularize their status before the deadline.
