A low-pressure system sweeping across Oman has brought rainfall and a significant drop in temperatures, especially affecting Musandam Governorate and coastal areas along the Sea of Oman. Residents have experienced cooler-than-usual weather, with intermittent showers and overcast skies.

This weather system has caused moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas. The concerned authorities have warned people of the possibility of flash floods and reduced visibility on roads. Coastal areas have been advised, especially fishermen and sailors, to exercise caution due to rough seas and strong winds.

It is much more cool in Musandam”, with considerable temperatures drop needed in the typical hot season, where the “Oman Meteorology Department stated that the system could last a couple of more days, but in parts of the Al Batinah and Dhofar regions, the outlook is a little scattered.

Authorities advise citizens to monitor weather updates and prepare accordingly. On the other hand, the cooler, rainy weather has been a welcome relief for many, offering a rare winter-like experience in the Sultanate.
