Although the Punjab-Mumbai match has been shifted to a safer, yet unspecified location, officials have now cleared Dharamshala to stage the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match this Thursday, after a revised security assessment.
Sources confirmed that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Himachal Pradesh government officials carried out a thorough site inspection prior to approval. The BCCI has welcomed the coordination between state and central agencies, reiterating that safety of fans is always the top priority during the current IPL season.
In spite of the logistical rearrangement, both teams have adapted their training routines, and fans can look forward to the Dharamshala stadium reopening with tighter security and renewed spirit.
