Over 3,000 Fake Emiratisation Cases Uncovered in the UAE

Authorities in the UAE have reported over 3,000 cases of fraudulent Emiratisation attempts by private companies. These businesses allegedly hired Emirati citizens without following the official regulations, trying to exploit the system to meet Emiratisation quotas.

Background on Emiratisation Goals
The UAE government has set strict Emiratisation targets to boost the number of Emiratis in private-sector jobs and facilitate their integration into the workforce. Companies must adhere to specific guidelines and standards when hiring UAE nationals to ensure their meaningful participation in the economy.

Uncovered Violations
According to official sources:

More than 3,000 violations were found in private companies trying to manipulate compliance with Emiratisation mandates.
The fraudulent practices included hiring Emirati citizens for positions that didn’t meet the minimum requirements or were only nominally filled to satisfy quotas.
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) is actively investigating these violations and imposing penalties for non-compliance.

Government Crackdown
Authorities have taken strong measures to prevent the misuse of the system:

Companies that violate the rules will face financial penalties, including fines for not meeting actual Emiratisation quotas.
Stricter audits and inspections are being conducted to ensure compliance across all sectors.
Firms found guilty of repeated violations risk losing access to government incentives and permits.
Commitment to Workforce Development
The UAE remains focused on the importance of integrating Emiratis into the private sector through meaningful employment. MOHRE has also initiated various programs to promote skill-building, career development, and genuine opportunities for Emirati citizens.

This recent crackdown underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring fair implementation of Emiratisation policies and holding companies accountable for their actions.
