Pakistan Air Strikes Kill 46 in Afghanistan Amid Rising Tensions

In a series of airstrikes conducted by Pakistan, 46 individuals were reported killed in Afghanistan, prompting Kabul to denounce the attacks as a breach of its sovereignty. The strikes, which targeted suspected terrorist hideouts in the eastern regions, have heightened the already strained relations between the two neighboring nations.

Islamabad has defended the airstrikes, asserting that the operations were intended to dismantle terrorist groups responsible for cross-border assaults. Pakistan has long expressed concerns about insurgents operating from Afghan territory, especially in the border regions.

The Taliban-led government in Afghanistan has vehemently condemned the strikes, describing them as an assault on Afghan land and urging for international intervention. This incident marks a new chapter in the intricate relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with both sides accusing one another of providing refuge to militants.

The situation remains precarious, with increasing calls for dialogue, yet the prospects for peace between the two countries appear increasingly bleak.
