Pakistan’s bowlers put on an impressive display on the first day of the Test match against South Africa, helping their team make a comeback. After being bowled out for 211 runs in 57.3 overs, Pakistan’s bowlers made an early impact, leaving South Africa at 82 for 3 by the end of the day. Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Abbas were particularly effective, taking key wickets and putting pressure on the South African batsmen.

South Africa won the toss and chose to field first, with debutant Corbin Bosch making an immediate mark by claiming a wicket with his very first delivery in Test cricket. Dane Paterson also contributed significantly, ending with figures of 5-61 in 16 overs. Despite the early challenges, South Africa’s Aiden Markram displayed resilience, scoring freely and providing some stability at the crease.

The match is finely balanced, with Pakistan looking to build on their strong bowling performance while South Africa aims to recover from their early setbacks. The second day is set to be crucial as both teams fight for the advantage in this tightly contested Test match.
