Pakistani Embassy Advises UAE Expats Against Scams in Fake Job Offers

The Pakistani Embassy in the UAE has warned citizens in stern terms about the increasing danger of bogus international job offers to local job-seekers. In a formal announcement, the embassy called on people to confirm any foreign employment opportunity via secure and government-approved mediums to stay clear of fraudulent scams.

This warning comes in the wake of a growing number of complaints from Pakistani nationals who have been swindled by rogue recruitment agencies and con artists who offer them high-paying employment opportunities overseas. Victims usually lose large amounts of money in “processing fees” and remain stranded without valid work permits or assistance in foreign nations.

The embassy reiterated that the job offers abroad must be checked crosswise through Pakistan’s Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment or verified from the concerned consulate. It also urged the community to remain on the lookout and report any suspicious behavior immediately.

With UAE serving as a top destination for Pakistani expatriates, the proactive approach of the embassy is an important move in defending its citizens’ rights and well-being. Authorities reminded seekers of employment that where there is an offer that seems too good to be true, it likely is—and encouraged them to place safety above guarantees of quick fortunes.
