A variety of digital guide aids in 23 languages have been implemented by Saudi Arabia’s Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah as a major step to improve the pilgrim experience. This innovative project intends to provide improved services to the mosque’s millions of attendees, especially during the hectic post-Hajj season.
The new smart screens are strategically placed throughout the mosque to offer real-time navigation, prayer schedules, and religious information in widely spoken languages such as Urdu, English, Turkish, Bahasa, French, and more. These user-friendly digital kiosks are part of a broader operational plan designed to manage large crowds and provide seamless guidance to international pilgrims.
The tools were introduced to facilitate spiritual reflection and logistical convenience for attendees from a variety of backgrounds, according to mosque officials. The invention supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives to increase the kingdom’s standing as a major Islamic hub worldwide and incorporate technology into public services.
Following the success of this digital rollout, officials intend to improve the system even more in the future by adding mobile app integration and voice capabilities. Visitors have already praised the programme for being inclusive, clear, and convenient, and it has raised the bar for pilgrimage management.
