Rain Alert: UAE Temperatures to Drop to 9°C in Some Areas

Residents of the UAE can look forward to cooler weather this Monday as they celebrate the 53rd National Day. The skies will be partly cloudy, with light rain expected in some eastern and northern regions, as well as on certain islands, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Weather Highlights:

  • Rain and Clouds: Light rain is likely in eastern and northern areas, creating a pleasant atmosphere for outdoor celebrations.
  • Humidity Levels: Humidity will drop to as low as 15% in the mountains but could rise to 85% in internal and coastal regions, especially by night and Tuesday morning.
  • Temperatures: The temperature is forecast to range from a chilly 9°C in mountainous areas to a warmer 30°C in internal regions. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, highs may reach up to 26°C.

Wind and Sea Conditions:

  • Winds: Light to moderate winds may freshen at times, causing blowing dust and reducing visibility. Wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h.
  • Rough Seas: The NCM has issued a yellow alert for rough seas, advising caution for outdoor enthusiasts. The Arabian Gulf is expected to have rough to moderate conditions, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.

Celebration Precautions:

As the weather remains dynamic, it’s advisable to stay updated on forecasts, especially if you plan to enjoy outdoor festivities or head to coastal areas.
