Ras Al Khaimah Tops Global List as the Best Destination for Expats

Ras Al Khaimah has been named the best destination for expats in the world, according to a survey by InterNations, the largest network for expatriates worldwide.

The emirate secured the #1 spot out of 53 cities surveyed. This achievement cements Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a top global choice for expats to live, work, and explore.

Key Factors of the Ranking

The ranking is based on four main categories:

  • Administration: Ease of getting a visa, handling local bureaucracy, and opening a bank account.
  • Housing: Affordability and accessibility of accommodation.
  • Digital Life: Availability of government services online and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Language: Ease of integrating without needing to speak the local language.

High Rankings in Multiple Categories

Ras Al Khaimah not only ranked first overall but also placed:

  • Second in the “Working Abroad” category.
  • Fifth for “Ease of Settling In.”

Additionally, nearly 75% of respondents said finding housing in Ras Al Khaimah is easy. When compared globally, 69% of respondents reported no concerns with housing affordability, local bureaucracy, or language barriers in Ras Al Khaimah, much higher than the global average of 29%.
