Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has introduced a Golden Visa program specifically for school educators in the Emirate, both in public and private sectors. This new program allows committed teachers and school leaders who meet certain criteria to enjoy long-term residency, enabling them to be self-sponsored in the UAE.
Designed to attract top educational talent, the Golden Visa aims to support and retain exceptional educators, from teachers to principals, who make a positive impact in Ras Al Khaimah schools.
“This initiative recognizes educators’ essential role in raising education standards for Ras Al Khaimah’s students,” said Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, RAK DOK Board Member. “By offering long-term residency, we honor teachers’ valuable contributions and strengthen our commitment to a thriving educational environment filled with talent and innovation.”
Who’s Eligible?
The Ras Al Khaimah Golden Visa for educators targets two main groups: “School Leaders,” including principals, vice principals, and directors, and “Teachers,” all qualified educators in Ras Al Khaimah’s public and private schools.
As the main authority for private education in Ras Al Khaimah, RAK DOK has streamlined the process, with specific criteria like a minimum of three years’ residency, a relevant degree, and proof of positive impact on school performance.
To apply, eligible educators need to provide an appointment letter, proof of qualifications, residency documents, and evidence of their contributions to school success. After reviewing these documents, RAK DOK will confirm eligibility and guide educators through UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) for the final Golden Visa process.
