Riyadh hotels are experiencing record prices as the Saudi capital sees a surge in bookings during the school break, with some premium rooms going for as much as SR7,000 per night. The holiday rush, coinciding with the end of the first semester, has created unprecedented demand, pushing overall hotel occupancy to 76% across the city, with certain hotels in prime locations fully booked, according to the Saudi news outlet Sabq.

This vacation period, which lasts until November 17, is particularly popular among families looking to explore the capital. Riyadh’s vibrant tourism season, marked by an annual entertainment and tourist festival, has also enhanced the city’s appeal during this time. Luxury hotels in central Riyadh and near the airport are reportedly at full capacity, making this one of the busiest periods for the city’s hospitality sector.

Booking platforms indicate that five-star hotels in central areas are seeing the highest rates, with nightly costs reaching up to SR7,000. The impact of the school break on Riyadh’s hospitality industry highlights the Kingdom’s growing reputation as a top tourism destination.

Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector has rapidly expanded, recently adding 12,000 new hotel rooms — the largest increase globally. The demand observed during this school holiday season emphasizes the Kingdom’s vision for a thriving hospitality sector amid increasing domestic and international interest in Riyadh’s attractions.

As Riyadh continues to host world-class events and festivals, experts anticipate ongoing growth in hotel occupancy and pricing, setting new records for Saudi Arabia’s tourism-driven economy.
