Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a wide-ranging redesign of Dubai Metro’s signage system with the goal of enhancing navigation and accessibility to commuters. The new signs feature new entrance and exit signs, redesigned platform directional signs, and Metro station name changes to better reflect changing city developments.
This initiative is part of RTA’s continuous efforts to enhance commuter experience and ensure consistency across Dubai’s expanding public transport network. The revamped signage features clearer fonts, better color contrasts, and multilingual guidance in Arabic and English to cater to both residents and tourists. Some stations have also undergone renaming to reflect new sponsorships and city landmarks.
Beyond upgraded physical signage, RTA is also implementing digital wayfinding functionalities within the Dubai Metro system. Passengers have access to live navigation assistance from updated RTA smart apps for a smooth ride to the new Metro signage platform.
With Dubai Metro being a key pillar of the city’s mobility infrastructure, these enhancements aim to simplify travel, reduce confusion, and elevate passenger convenience. Whether you’re a daily commuter or a first-time visitor, the new signage will make navigating Dubai’s world-class Metro system easier than ever.
