Saudi Arabia Offers 50% Discount on Traffic Fines, 10 Days Remain to Claim

Saudi Arabia is providing a 50% reduction in traffic fines for offenses incurred prior to April 18 last year, but motorists have only 10 days to avail themselves of this offer. The time-limited promotion provides motorists with the opportunity to lower the amount paid for a range of traffic infractions by a considerable amount, and it represents a good deal for many drivers throughout the kingdom.

The program will aim to promote prompt payments and alleviate the financial stress on drivers who might have been carrying around fines for the last year. It is among the government’s initiatives that seek to enhance road safety while promoting safe driving practices and supporting those struggling financially.

Drivers are advised to move fast, as the April 18 deadline is approaching quickly. The fine reduction can be done via Saudi Arabia’s online portals, which provide easy convenience for citizens and residents alike to settle their pending traffic violation.

This step has created much hype, with most drivers eager to pay their dues within the discount time window. The government hopes that this step would not only clear the backlog but also instill a culture of law compliance in the country’s roads.
