In an October raid, 322 people were questioned as Saudi anti-corruption measures grew more intense. The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) investigated many criminal and administrative corruption cases. These corruption cases involved five government departments in October.

The investigation led to the arrest of 121 government officials in Saudi Arabia. The organizations involved in corruption are Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the Ministry of Justice, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Interior.

Transparency, efficiency, and integrity in governance are highly valued in Saudi Vision 2030. The Kingdom has an ambitious plan for economic modernization and diversification. The plan is according to the anti-corruption campaign. Saudi authorities are making it very evident that corruption will not be accepted, regardless of a person’s position or status.

Addressing corruption is still essential to changing the Kingdom’s socioeconomic environment. It works towards its Vision 2030 goals. Saudi officials hope to promote an honest culture. They aim to provide the groundwork for long-term growth and development by enforcing strict laws against corrupt activities.
