Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new allegations of sexual assault in a lawsuit claiming he abused a 10-year-old boy in 2005. This suit adds to over two dozen accusations of misconduct against the music mogul.
The civil lawsuit, one of two filed Monday in a New York court, was submitted by attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents over 150 individuals alleging abuse by Combs and has filed at least 17 related cases.
The second lawsuit filed on Monday involves another male accuser, who says he was 17 and auditioning for Combs’ reality show “Making the Band” in 2008 when Combs and a bodyguard allegedly assaulted him.
Combs’ legal team responded to the allegations, stating, “The lawyer behind this lawsuit seeks media attention over truth. In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never assaulted or trafficked anyone, adult or minor.”
Currently, Combs, 54, has also pleaded not guilty to separate federal charges of sex trafficking in Manhattan, facing counts of racketeering, trafficking, and involvement in prostitution.
Federal prosecutors allege that the founder of Bad Boy Records coerced men, women, and children into unwanted acts, using bribery and intimidation to keep them silent, and had staff members assist in covering up these alleged crimes.
Combs has been held in a Brooklyn jail for six weeks after being twice denied bail. He is now appealing his detention.
The lawsuit involving the 10-year-old, identified as John Doe, claims that Doe was an aspiring actor and rapper. A consultant hired by Doe’s parents reportedly arranged a meeting with Combs at a New York hotel.
The complaint states that Doe told Combs he would “do anything” to achieve fame. Combs allegedly gave him a drink spiked with drugs, forcing him to perform sexual acts. Doe claims he was threatened with harm to his family if he spoke of the incident.
Combs’ criminal trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
