Sharjah Civil Defence improves fire safety in industrial zones

In a proactive attempt to reduce fire occurrences and improve workplace safety, Sharjah Civil Defence has increased fire safety checks in important industrial zones. The program’s main goals are to make sure that safety procedures are followed and to find possible fire risks at factories, warehouses, and worker housing.

Civil Defence teams are providing on-site fire safety training sessions for employees in addition to facility inspections as part of this extensive programme. These practical exercises equip employees with life-saving skills by teaching them how to use extinguishers, emergency response techniques, and evacuation protocols.

Officials underlined that such precautions are essential because industrial regions are high-risk locations because of the presence of heavy machinery and flammable materials. “By cultivating a strong culture of safety and preparedness, we hope to reduce fire-related incidents,” a Civil Defence spokeswoman stated.

Sharjah Civil Defence advised company owners to constantly train staff, do safety audits, and maintain adequate fire systems. The programme emphasises the necessity of shared responsibility in preventing fires and the emirate’s continued dedication to public safety.
