The Government of Sharjah has approved Dh335 million in emergency housing support for 431 Emirati families, as part of its commitment to easing residential hardships and improving quality of life for its citizens. After a meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council, which was presided over by Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the initiative was declared.
This sizeable housing allocation will address a variety of pressing requirements, such as building, remodelling, reconstructing, and purchasing new homes for families that are currently struggling with affordability, safety, and housing stability.
Officials stressed that the assistance is consistent with Sharjah’s more comprehensive social welfare policies, which place a high priority on social justice, sustainable urban development, and family well-being. The programme promotes long-term development objectives for housing infrastructure throughout the emirate in addition to demonstrating the leadership’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens.
The Sharjah Housing Department will get in touch with the citizens who qualify for the assistance directly. Applications are being fast-tracked to ensure swift disbursement and timely home improvements for the families in need. The move reaffirms Sharjah’s position as a model for people-first governance in the region.
