Sharjah Municipality has announced a strategic partnership with City Centre Al Zahia, aiming to provide visitors with smoother and more organized access to one of the emirate’s busiest shopping destinations. The collaboration focuses primarily on enhancing parking management and easing entry and exit points, especially during peak hours and festive seasons.
According to the new agreement, both parties will adopt smart traffic solutions, deploy additional personnel for on-site support, and coordinate real-time traffic monitoring. These adjustments are expected to considerably reduce congestion and improve the overall visitor experience, especially on weekends and holidays.
The move is part of Sharjah’s bigger ambition to strengthen urban infrastructure and public-private partnerships. City Centre Al Zahia, which attracts thousands of customers each day, will now benefit from municipal control and planning, resulting in a more efficient flow of traffic in and around the mall.
Officials from Sharjah Municipality and Majid Al Futtaim, the mall’s developer, lauded the collaboration, adding that it represents a step forward in establishing smarter and more visitor-friendly retail settings around the city. Residents should expect the new measures to be implemented gradually in the coming weeks.
