Sharjah Ruler Approves 400 New Government Jobs Post-Eid Al Adha, Launches Training Programme for Jobseekers

In a major boost for employment seekers, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the creation of 400 new government jobs to be filled immediately after Eid Al Adha. The announcement comes as part of the emirate’s continued efforts to enhance job opportunities and support local talent within Sharjah’s public sector.

Alongside the job approvals, the Sharjah ruler has also greenlit a comprehensive training and qualification programme aimed at preparing unemployed citizens for public sector roles. This initiative is designed to bridge the skills gap and equip jobseekers with the necessary tools and competencies to thrive in administrative, technical, and professional fields.

The programme, which will be implemented in partnership with local institutions and experts, will include career guidance, hands-on training, and mentorship opportunities. Priority will be given to Sharjah nationals registered in employment databases, ensuring inclusive development and long-term job stability for residents.

The move has been widely welcomed by citizens and HR professionals alike, with many praising the Ruler’s commitment to economic stability, youth empowerment, and sustainable workforce development. The decision is expected to significantly reduce unemployment rates in the region and provide meaningful career paths for many young Emiratis.
