Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has directed grants to aid over 2,114 families, which have enrolled in the social services portfolio with the Sharjah Social Services Department. These efforts aim at lifting some economic burdens on the poor and less fortunate people and also catering for elderly people as well as individuals with disability.

This grant underlines the Sharjah Ruler’s commitment to ensuring social welfare and economic stability for the emirate’s residents. The funds will be channeled to beneficiaries through the support programs offered by SSSD, bringing much-needed financial relief to those in need.

Sharjah has been launching welfare initiatives, such as housing projects, healthcare assistance, and educational support, to raise the standard of its citizens. This latest initiative is a part of the emirate’s vision for comprehensive social development and a strong community support system.

The SSSD has called upon eligible families to complete their registration processes so that they can benefit from this directive. Further details on grant disbursement will be announced in the coming weeks.
