Sharjah further establishes itself as a prominent international hub for archaeological studies with the opening of a special Stone Age exhibition and workshop. Hosted by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the event is attended by specialists, researchers, and history lovers to discover the rich heritage of the ancient world.

The exhibit features scarce remains, instruments, and relics from the Stone Age, taking people on an engaging tour of primitive human society. Through interactive experiences and lectures, participants are more aware of the ways in which ancient cultures developed, survived, and developed anew in their ecosystem. The initiative highlights Sharjah’s commitment to safeguarding heritage while pursuing research in archaeology.

Apart from the exhibit, the workshop also features top archaeologists and experts who share the latest revelations and excavation methods. Hands-on learning on ancient tool-making is also undertaken by the participants, which adds to their appreciation of early crafts. The workshop is designed to create harmony among international researchers, cementing Sharjah’s dedication to cultural heritage preservation and intellectual exchange.

Sheikha Bodour’s exemplary leadership in the field of heritage conservation is reflected through this project, further enhancing Sharjah’s stature as a centre for archaeological research. With ongoing research efforts and public outreach, the emirate continues to lead the way in digging up history and opening it up to the world.
