The Wheat Festival, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, kicked off on Thursday at the Wheat Farm in Mleiha. About the Wheat Farm
The Wheat Farm in Mleiha, launched by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, spans 1,900 hectares. This project is a key initiative to strengthen Sharjah’s food security, producing high-quality organic wheat free from pesticides and chemicals. The wheat is recognized for its high protein content, making it one of the best globally.
The farm began operations in 2022, with its first phase covering 400 hectares. It ensures enough organic wheat to meet the food demands of Sharjah’s population.
