His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum engaged with Shou Zi Chew, CEO of TikTok. They discussed potential strategic partnerships. His Highness explained Dubai’s focus on making it a global expertise.

This meeting was according to Dubai’s objectives to nurture creativity and excellence in the digital media sector. The Dubai Press Club (DPC) will organize a roundtable discussion led by Shou Zi Chew. They will concentrate on the future of content creation.

They also discussed the impact of innovative technologies on the region’s digital media landscape. This event will gather content creators from across the Middle East. They will explore emerging trends and exchange insights. It will further help in advancing Dubai’s vision of becoming a hub for digital and creative talent.

TikTok has an increasing presence in the MENA region. It is especially famous among younger demographics. It reflects the UAE’s swift embrace of new media technologies. TikTok has seen remarkable growth since establishing its regional headquarters in Dubai in 2018.

The meeting also included senior officials. Such as His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, and Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri. The presence of such officials highlights the interest of the UAE government in promoting digital media in the country.
