Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently visited the UAE’s first passenger train fleet at Al Faya Depot. The high-speed train, operated by Etihad Rail, is set to revolutionize travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, reducing the journey time to just 30 minutes with speeds reaching up to 350 km/h.

The project is an important step forward in improving the transport infrastructure in the UAE, which will fit well with the nation’s commitments to sustainable development and economic growth. The high-speed train will pass through major strategic destinations and tourist attractions to ensure easy and smooth travel for passengers and visitors.

Sheikh Khaled said that this ambitious project reflects the vision of the UAE leadership to advance national infrastructure and elevate mobility services to the highest standards. Sheikh Hamdan pointed out that the project will enhance the global competitiveness of the UAE and support sustainable development.
