UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has commended Emirates Airline’s considerate effort to recycle aircraft materials into long-lasting schoolbags for needy children in Africa, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
The “aircrafted” bags, crafted out of recycled plane seat leather and fabric, are part of an eco-friendly CSR initiative that turns old plane interiors into practical, green school kits. Not only are the bags rugged, but they are also symbolic in connecting the UAE skies to kids’ futures across the globe.
Sheikh Mohammed hailed the project as a symbol of innovation, compassion, and sustainability, highlighting the UAE’s determination to contribute to global humanitarian causes and education. His remarks further reinforce the value of giving back through careful reuse of resources.
This poignant campaign, initiated by Emirates and backed by volunteers, has already reached thousands of bags—bearing hope, learning tools, and a message of global togetherness from Dubai skies.
