Dubai’s Streets to Shine Brighter with Eco-Friendly LED Lights Across 40 Areas by 2026. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled plans to enhance street lighting in 40 areas throughout the city by the end of 2026. This initiative, part of the 2024-2026 Street Lighting Plan, aims to improve safety and visibility for pedestrians and drivers alike.

So far, more than 1,000 eco-friendly LED lights have been installed in neighborhoods such as Umm Suqeim 1, Abu Hail, and Al Baraha. The integration of smart and innovative technologies ensures that the lighting is both efficient and well-suited to Dubai’s unique climate.

Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency, stated that the project is focused on enhancing traffic safety and security, ultimately fostering a safer environment for all road users.
