The authorities in Sweden have confirmed that victims of the recent mass shooting come from multiple nationalities, as investigators work to determine the motive behind the deadly attack. The incident has sent shockwaves across the country, with officials vowing a swift and thorough investigation.

The shooting in the crowded public area has sparked more issues over the matter of public safety and gun violence in Sweden. Though the exact number of causalities is still not confirmed, police have claimed that some were foreign nationals, and their reaction has, thus, started to create much concern abroad.

Law enforcement agencies are currently analyzing forensic evidence, surveillance footage, and witness statements to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy. Officials have yet to rule out terrorism, organized crime, or personal vendetta as possible motives. As Sweden mourns the victims, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant while assuring them that security measures will be intensified to prevent future attacks.
