In a shocking case, three women were found dead with slit wrists in a house in Kolkata’s Tangra neighborhood. The police found the three women during an investigation of a distant accident case, which triggered a deeper investigation into the situation leading to their deaths.

The authorities are handling the case as suspicious, and forensic experts have gathered evidence from the site of crime. There are preliminary reports of no signs of a break-in, which has led to doubts about if it was a suicide pact or foul play. Officials, however, are not excluding other scenarios.

Neighbors said they heard nothing out of the ordinary, and the victims’ identities and backgrounds are yet to be confirmed. Police are analyzing CCTV footage in the area and questioning potential witnesses to try to reconstruct the events that led to the tragic find.

While investigations proceed, the authorities are waiting on autopsy reports in order to verify the actual reason and timing of death. The incident has led to fear concerning mental illnesses, domestic abuse, or suspected financial strain, which is what has left officials investigating every single aspect.
