Actor Tom Holland has openly shared that he often Googles his girlfriend, Zendaya, to check on her well-being. In a recent interview, the “Spider-Man” star mentioned, “The last thing I googled was Zendaya”. He notes that his limited presence on social media prompts him to look her up online. “I’m not on social media, and I delete it when I’m not using it,” he explained. This habit arises from a sense of anxiety. He wants to ensure she’s okay. “I’ll check to see if everything’s good and to make sure we’re all cool. So I just give her a little Google and look through the news. I’m like, ‘She’s good,’” he added.
Holland’s affection for Zendaya was on display at the recent launch party for his brand in New York City on October 24. A viral clip from the event showed Holland stepping in to shield Zendaya from overly eager fans. He was seen politely asking the crowd to “give us a little bit of space”. It shows his protective instincts and genuine concern for her comfort.
Holland and Zendaya first met on the set of 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. They began dating in 2021 but have mostly kept their relationship under wraps. Zendaya spoke about this balance in an interview. She stated, “I can’t be a person and live my life and love the person I love”. It highlights the significance of authenticity in their relationship. She further explained, “It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own, but also not being afraid to exist.”
The couple has never hesitated to show their love for each other. At the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, Holland fondly recalled their early days. He said, “Zendaya and I will, every now and then, watch Spider-Man 1. We remember being 19 and making those movies again.” He reflected on the special moments they shared.
