A small plane crashed into a public bus on a busy street in Sao Paulo, Brazil, killing two people and injuring several others. The tragic accident happened when the aircraft, which had just taken off, suffered engine failure and plummeted into traffic.

The authorities confirmed that the pilot and sole passenger on board did not survive the crash. The bus, which carried commuters during rush hour, experienced severe damage, with several passengers injured, but no reported fatalities among them. The emergency responders at the scene helped to douse the flames and extract survivors.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and chaos, as the plane clipped power lines before colliding with the bus. The investigators are now examining the cause of the crash, which, according to initial reports, was caused by a mechanical failure shortly after takeoff.

The aviation authority in Sao Paulo has initiated a full inquiry, and the importance of stringent safety arrangements for aircraft over urban localities has once again been reinforced. The plane crash has restarted debates about air traffic rules in the busy cities of Brazil.
