A tragic tragedy struck in Oman as two young siblings, aged only 10 and 7, drowned in coastal waters. The Coast Guard Police came quickly to the rescue, but even after every effort, the bodies of the children were found lifeless.

The accident took place at an unnamed beach location, where the children were said to have been playing along the water’s edge. It is not known how they were cut off from adult supervision, but initial reports were that they were picked up by powerful currents before anyone could provide assistance.

The authorities have subsequently restated beach safety and parental attention, particularly with increasing heat and more families going to the coast. The Coast Guard stressed constant supervision and compliance with safety signs in swimming areas.

This sad incident has shocked and saddened the local community. Condolences are being offered to the bereaved family, while an official inquiry is being conducted to ascertain the precise circumstances of the drowning.
