Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for a spike in travellers as Eid Al Fitr 2025 draws near, which will cause severe traffic congestion along important routes. Commuters are advised by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to take alternate routes and stay off airport roads during rush hour.
Authorities anticipate a sharp increase in passenger volume as locals and visitors take vacations. To ensure a seamless security check, DXB officials advise arriving at least three hours prior to departure. Public transport options like the Dubai Metro and airport shuttle services are highly encouraged.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road are two alternate routes that RTA has recommended to reduce traffic, and its smart apps will provide real-time traffic updates. For easier access to terminals, passengers are also encouraged to use ride-hailing services rather than private vehicles.
In order to guarantee a smooth travel experience for passengers during the holiday season, authorities are deploying more personnel and traffic patrols in anticipation of record-breaking travel numbers.
