Kuwaiti security personnel have arrested a Kuwaiti and a GCC citizen for possessing crystal methamphetamine inside a school’s parking lot located in the Saad Al-Abdullah area. Their arrest was the result of a routine patrol carried out by the Jahra security forces, which noticed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants who appeared to be in an abnormal state.
Upon identification, one suspect was found to be wanted in connection with a theft case. The other had previously been sentenced to one year behind the bars for another case. Searching their vehicle, five bags full of crystal meth were recovered. The drug discovery prompted authorities to seize the narcotics and hand the suspects over to the right people for further action.
This incident points out the fact that Kuwait is still facing challenges in dealing with drug-related activities. The authorities are still increasing efforts to reduce the spread and consumption of illegal drugs in the country.
The swift response by the Jahra security forces underscores the importance of vigilant law enforcement in maintaining public safety and addressing the drug menace in Kuwait.
