The United Arab Emirates has denounced the murder of an Israeli Embassy staff member in Washington, DC, as a criminal offence of grave nature. In a statement released on behalf of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country expressed its condolences to the victim’s family and reaffirmed its commitment to preserving international diplomatic safeguards.

The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s strong position against violence and incidents that endanger the security of diplomatic missions and their personnel. The statement urged thorough investigation and prompt justice to hold the perpetrators accountable.

This censure is in consonance with the UAE’s overall foreign policy, which promotes peace, security, and respect for international diplomatic norms. The country stressed that such crimes not only compromise bilateral ties but also are against the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

With investigations ongoing in the US, the UAE urged the global community to protect diplomatic staff across the world and to ensure accountability in such grave violations of international norms.
