UAE Issues Red Alert for Fog as Light Rains Expected in Some Areas

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned motorists about poor visibility due to dense fog on Friday morning. A red alert was issued, cautioning that horizontal visibility might drop significantly in some internal areas until 9:30 AM.

Check the affected areas through the weather department’s shared map for detailed insights.

In addition to the fog, today’s forecast includes partly cloudy skies with a chance of rainfall in northern and eastern regions. Humidity will rise tonight and into Saturday morning, possibly leading to mist formation in some areas.

Temperature Highlights:

  • Low: 16ºC in the mountains
  • High: 33ºC in internal areas
  • Abu Dhabi and Dubai: Up to 32ºC

Expect light to moderate winds, which may freshen occasionally. The Arabian Gulf will see rough to moderate seas, while the Oman Sea remains slight.
