UAE is providing a Digital School Initiative to Provide Internet-Free Smart Learning Solutions in Lebanon. Dubai’s Digital School has introduced the Lebanon Education Continuity Project for the 2024-2025 academic year. They aim to provide essential educational opportunities to 40,000 displaced students in Lebanon. This initiative is started by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). It utilizes digital technology to facilitate learning in displacement centers without the need for internet access.
The ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ campaign was started by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. They have called for the implementation of education continuity programs. It will help to tackle the growing disparity in access to quality education for Lebanese children. The main aim is to help the displaced children impacted by the country’s economic and social difficulties.
Expanding Digital Access to Education
The Digital School initiative employs advanced educational technologies. It aims to provide digital content that aligns with Lebanon’s national curriculum. This initiative is offering not only innovative solutions for students but also crucial training and resources for teachers. The project is successful due to collaborations with local authorities and international organizations. They ensure that education effectively reaches students in regions with limited infrastructure.
Secretary-General of MBRGI, Mohammad Al Gergawi, emphasized the vital role of education. He considered it as a stabilizing force for communities and future generations. He stated “The Lebanon Education Continuity Project is a direct reflection of our leadership’s commitment to education. Education is a cornerstone of societal growth and stability.
