The UAE Ministry of Interior has announced that Emirati citizens can now start using the ‘Global Entry’ program. This follows an agreement made between the UAE and the United States, signed by the UAE Ministry of Interior and the US Department of Homeland Security.

The agreement was finalized during President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official visit to the US in September.

The ‘Global Entry’ program is part of the US border protection efforts, allowing UAE citizens to enter the United States faster for tourism, business, and personal visits.

Participants in the program will benefit from quicker entry at specific transit gates in US airports, making their travel easier while strengthening the good relations between the UAE and the US.

This program highlights the strong bond between the UAE and the US, showcasing the UAE’s positive reputation. It is designed to make travel simpler for UAE citizens, allowing smoother entry at over 75 US entry points.

Those interested in the program can apply on the official website https://ttp.dhs.gov/. After applying, they will go through a security background check and will be able to use automated verification devices at the ports, which helps reduce wait times and paperwork. However, travelers still need to have a valid entry visa for the United States.
