The UAE has committed $200,000 (Dh734,600) to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for the year 2025. The announcement was made during the UNHCR’s annual pledging conference on Wednesday.

Jamal Al Musharakh, the UAE’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other International Organisations in Geneva, stated that this contribution highlights the UAE’s dedication to supporting the UNHCR’s efforts in helping displaced communities worldwide.

“We reaffirm our commitment to humanity and dignity for all through our support for the UNHCR’s mission,” said Al Musharakh.

Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, expressed gratitude for the UAE’s continued support and dedication to improving the lives of refugees across the globe.
