Residents of the UAE can expect turbulent weather as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has put out warnings for turbulent seas, high winds, and scattered showers on Thursday. The country’s eastern areas are likely to experience especially turbulent seas, leading to advisories for sailors and coastal residents.
Dusty weather will lower visibility in certain areas, particularly in the interior and desert areas, as per the forecast. Sandstorms may be triggered by winds of up to 45 km/h, which will make traveling unsafe and impact outdoor activities. Drivers are advised to drive carefully because of low visibility and slippery roads due to scattered rain showers.
Coastal regions can also anticipate high waves and rough sea conditions, and officials advise fishermen and small boat owners to keep abreast of weather warnings prior to going out. The temperature will also dip, ushering cooler weather across large sections of the UAE.
Authorities advise residents to be on the lookout and check official weather reports prior to organizing outdoor activities. The unstable conditions are likely to subside by the weekend, reverting to more normal weather patterns.
